Hi! I’m Joe Sanders, a David Ryan Salon Hair Stylist, and I’m certified in the Simply Smooth Brazilian Keratin Treatment. Keratin treatments are great, as they repair and restore your hair. They add shine and can prevent color fade. And now that we’re entering those high-humidity summer days, we need as much help as possible keeping our hair smooth.”
In fact, here’s a very recent “before” and “after.” My client was so thrilled with the results she took her own picture.

Besides being certified in the Simply Smooth Brazilian Keratin Treatment, I use a free style cutting technique that combine wet and dry hair cutting techniques. My work has been featured in magazines, such as “Shape” and “People” and on television shows, such as “Law & Order” and “Martha.” A little more 411 on me: My style icons are Diana Ross, Ted Gibson, Martin Parson and all the classic styles of the 40s and 50s.” I’m in love with hair– my dream is to travel throughout Europe and study it.

Hi, I’m Jill Schnapp, one of David Ryan Salon’s master stylists and I have a double-edged sword that I’m sure many of you can relate to!
Here’s the good news: Summer finally arrives, the sun is shining brightly and we’re so happy to be walking around in this glorious weather.
Now here’s the bad (and the part I’m sure you’ll be able to relate to): All that gorgeous weather often comes with humidity. And that brings on the frizz! Sure, I can pull my hair back. But I don’t know about you–I get no compliments and I sure don’t feel sexy!
But this one’s a great solution. Paul Mitchell
has a wonderful line called Awapuhi. In this line, the company has some keratin products–these keratin products are protein-blends and what they do is this: Replace what you have lost in your hair after years of color, blow out, simple neglect and what-have-you. They repair your hair from cuticle to core. That means they eliminate the frizz and put back all that you have taken away.
I use them. Now I’ll be able to take those long walks again–with a big smile but NOT big hair.
Paul Mitchell products were a 2011 winner in the Allure Magazine "Insider's Beauty Awards."

We’re so lucky to be located just steps away from one of the most exciting areas in the world: Times Square/Theater District! It’s known for theater and restaurants–but it’s also known for the attractions, such as Toys “R” Us Times Square, the Center of the Toy Universe (Broadway and 46th St.)
Take a stroll down 42nd Street between Seventh and Eighth Avenues, and you’ll see Madame Tussauds/New York, packed with a “who’s who” of New York and international celebrities.
Now go further West to 11th Avenue and 46th Street. You’ll be able to visit the Intrepid Museum, where you’ll view hundreds of exhibits and walk the 900-foot-long aircraft carrier, Intrepid.
And here we are, in the middle of it all! David Ryan Salon, 429 West 46th St., NYC
And now, as we write this, Spring is just around the corner; so while you’re at the Intrepid, take a walk down the breathtaking Hudson River Park where, on a nice day, you’ll see strollers and carriages, roller bladers, bicyclists, sun-bathers, and pedestrians enjoying sun-filled views of the water.
